This fast BFT enables the transaction confirmation time to be reduced from minutes to seconds, with an average of 3,000+ transactions per second (TPS) and the capability to scale to 10,000+ TPS with sharding. We start at a block reward of 5 tokens and this amount reduces by 10% at the end of each year. The emission curve is designed to ensure a balance of early incentives, while still ensuring that the ecosystem remains sustainable in the long term. As the block rewards decrease over time, transaction fees will make up a larger proportion of the validator rewards.
